When we let go, we are not trying to get rid of the feeling. We are not trying to push it away or make it go away. Instead, we are simply allowing it to be there, without resistance. This can be a very difficult thing to do because our natural tendency is to resist anything that feels bad. However, when we resist our feelings, they tend to get stronger and last longer. The goal of letting go is not to get rid of the feeling, but rather to allow it to move through us so that it can dissipate on its own.
By staying with the feeling and allowing it to be there, we are helping it to release itself. The key is not to fight the feeling or try to change it in any way, but simply to allow it to be there. When we don’t let go, we hold on to the energy of the feeling and it gets stuck in our bodies. This can lead to physical problems like tension headaches, stomachaches, and even ulcers. It can also lead to emotional problems like anxiety, depression, irritability, and anger.
So why is letting go so hard? Because it requires us to be present with our feelings and not try to escape them. It means being vulnerable and facing our fears. But if we can do it, the rewards are great. We feel lighter, freer, and more at peace.
Letting Go Book Key Points
You can change your emotional state by deliberately choosing thoughts that support the emotions you want to feel
If you are not a very emotional person, then chances are you don’t affect others emotionally very much either. If you are an emotional person, then your emotions can have a profound effect on those around you. It has been said that our emotions are like ripples in a pond; they start small but can grow and affect many things.
Think about the last time you were upset. You may have been so caught up in your own emotions that you didn’t even realize how they were affecting those around you. Maybe you were at work and snapping at co-workers or home and taking it out on your family. Now, think about a time when you were really happy. Maybe you were so full of joy that everyone around you couldn’t help but smile too. Your emotions are like a wave that extends outward from you, touching everything and everyone in its path. The more intense the emotion, the farther the wave reaches.
You can change your emotional state by becoming aware of your thoughts and the way they make you feel. If you want to feel better, think better thoughts. It’s as simple as that. But it’s not always easy to do. Your emotions are like a barometer, they let you know what kind of day you’re going to have. If you’re feeling angry, chances are good that things aren’t going to go well for you. On the other hand, if you’re feeling happy and optimistic, chances are good that things will go well for you. It’s important to be in touch with your emotions so that you can manage them effectively. Otherwise, they will manage you and that is not a recipe for success or happiness.
If you don’t like what you’re attracting, raise your vibration by doing things that make you feel good
If you are radiating love, then you will attract more love into your life. If you are radiating happiness, then you will attract more happiness into your life. It is that simple. The Law of Attraction is always working – whether you realize it or not. You can change the vibration you are putting out there at any time – by simply changing your thoughts and emotions. Choose to focus on what makes you feel good, and watch as your life gets better and better.
The better you feel, the better your vibration, and the better things you attract into your life. So if you want to change what’s coming to you, then change how you’re feeling. You can start by becoming more conscious of your thoughts and emotions. Pay attention to what makes you feel good – love, joy, happiness, gratitude – and do more of those things. The more good feelings you have, the higher your vibration will be, and the better things you will attract into your life.
If you want to change what you are attracting into your life, then change the signal that you are sending out. You can do this by practicing gratitude and focusing on the positive things in your life. The more thankful and appreciative you are, the higher your vibration will be, and the better things you will attract into your life.
You always have a choice in how you think and feel, no matter what the circumstances. Choose wisely
You can choose what you focus on, and what you think and feel. You can’t always control the circumstances or events in your life, but you can always control your thoughts and emotions about them. When you focus on lack, all you will see is lack. When you appreciate what you have, even if it’s not much, abundance will find its way to you. It’s the law of attraction in action.
When you can focus on the good, the positive, and what brings you happiness, your life will begin to change for the better. Appreciation is one of the most powerful emotions we have available to us because it immediately begins to shift our focus and attention to what is working well in our lives. Before long, you will find yourself noticing more and more things to appreciate, which will create a snowball effect of positivity in your life. From there, it becomes easier and easier to maintain a state of gratitude and appreciation, which leads to an overall feeling of happiness and contentment.

Letting go book was an easy read and it had a lot of good points. I did not agree with everything the author said but it is worth reading. The part that resonated with me the most was when the author talked about how we need to let go of our past to move on with our lives. Recommended.
