Question Your Current State
You need to ask yourself a few questions before you start working towards becoming a better version of yourself. The first question should be about your well-being and happiness. Do you feel happy at this point in your life? Do you feel fulfilled and look forward to your day when you wake up? If the answer to these questions is no, then you need to narrow it down to what it is that is making you unhappy. Is it your job, a relationship, or your health?
Evaluate and Plan
When you have your answer you have to remind yourself when was the last time you felt happy while doing something relevant to that area of your life. For example, if you are unhappy with your job. For example, writing used to bring me great joy but with time I lost touch with it and got busier with life. Now that I have remembered how it made me feel, I can set goals to write daily and learn in order to improve this skill of mine. Excellence is not a state or an achievement but it is a habit. When we choose to do everything with our heart and full potential on daily basis, we are choosing excellence. You need to be conscious of the patterns you follow daily so that you can detect any unhealthy habits.
Set the Right Intention and Have Patience
One thing that is harder than pinpointing and narrowing down our goals is showing up every day. By staying committed to your goals even when you don’t want to, you can achieve greater things. A part of self-growth is realizing that working on one’s self never stops. You cannot take days off or expect the work to be done one day. It is about getting up every morning and making better choices and you will have to do it every day if you want to improve your life.
